My mother-in-law just made me watch this episode of the Price is Right she had on her DVR. Apparently it's Dream Car week and you guessed it, they're giving away nice cars.
This episode they gave away a new Porsche 911 Carrera with a special package of some sort. Anyway, the lady had to guess the last four digits of the price of the car based on prices of various goods (you know how it works!) The prizes included a kareoke machine, portable satellite radios, and a generic laptop. They ended up totaling just under $4 grand. The catch of the game was she could either take the for sure $4 grand in prizes and miss out on the car, or take a chance and try to match her numbers to the cars price to win the new Porsche. She took the prizes. I think you can figure out what happened next.
By the way, I would have won a Porsche...

Yeah, but could you have paid the taxes and insurance on it? For many people, winning cars and other luxury items can be a tremendous financial burden.

Could have still just spun it off and sold it like 50% of the winners do anyways.
